eMerchantPay

eMerchantPay is an established payment service provider. We provide international online, mobile and POS payment processing services to merchants across the globe. Our fraud prevention services and payment processing solutions enable merchants to increase their conversion rates, expand their customer reach and prevent fraud. We make processing possible in more than 150 currencies and various languages.
We are a product-based company with a presence in more than five locations worldwide and our biggest office located in Sofia where we have 100+ specialists in different areas like Finance, Risk & Fraud Management, Underwriting, Operations, and of course, IT. We are self-funded and successful, and despite having a shiny, state-of-the-art office on six floors in one of the best places in Sofia, we have an open, startup-like atmosphere with no bureaucracy. We are building a strong payment products portfolio. Apart from our main, long-standing focus on being a reliable payment service provider (PSP), we are an acquiring bank and principal member of Visa Europe and MasterCard Worldwide since 2013, and also a licensed digital wallet solution offering secure e-wallet services to merchants and consumers alike. In addition, we recently ventured into card issuing activities, for both virtual and physical cards globally.
On the technology side, we are proud Ruby and Rails hackers, and have employed the Ruby/Rails stack for quite some time now, still going strong. We are one of the first (if not the first) solid, products-oriented Ruby/Rails based companies here in Sofia. We have improved the local Ruby/Rails community through multiple challenging projects in the ecosystem, giving the opportunity to a number of dedicated engineers to learn and grow.
Despite Ruby being our main programming language and Rails – our main web framework, we do not shy away from other stacks, and have designed a number of libraries and tools using PHP, Java, .NET, and Node.JS – to add up to a truly multi-paradigm, multi-language environment. We take BDD seriously, and using RSpec have advanced to more than 15000 examples in certain projects all done via automated ways with Jenkins CI.
Most of our solutions possess complicated workflows, APIs, and UI, high uptime (99.99%), and are complex in both code and infrastructure, catering for PCI-DSS security standards among others. We are welcoming enthusiastic software engineers, devops engineers, QAs, and tech support engineers that want to be happy with Ruby and Rails, as much as we are. If you want to be challenged in an open-source environment with Ruby, Rails, Linux, MySQL and Galera cluster, HTML 5, CSS 3, and, ughm, JavaScript, feel free to send your resume at https://www.emerchantpay.com/careers/open-positions or at least stop by our booth to meet and talk.
